Temporal and spatial variations in maximum river discharge from a new Russian data set [PDF]
Floods cause more damage in Russia than any other natural disaster, and future climate model projections suggest that the frequency and magnitude of extreme hydrological events will increase in Russia with climate change.

Analysis of Migration Trends in Zimbabwe Using Mann-Kendall and Sen’s Slope Tests
The movement of people into and out of the Zimbabwean borders has become a topical issue in every sector of the country. The main devastating movement is when a lot of skilled professionals leave the country to other countries in search of greener pastures without ploughing back home and left the country of origin with few or no skilled personnel to ...

Roadway Crash Trend Analysis with Innovative Trend Analysis and Mann-Kendall Test
Following the national goal of crash reduction, the state of Louisiana set an ambitious goal of ‘Destination Zero Deaths’ (DZD), aiming to halve the number of fatalities and severe injuries by 2030. The goal of this study is to detect and quantify fatal and severe injury (FSI) trends in several DZD focus areas, including young drivers, alcohol ...

Trends in the incidence of rain rates associated with outages on fixed links operating above 10 GHz in the southern United Kingdom [PDF]
Studies have shown that climate change is leading to an increase in the incidence of heavy rain in the United Kingdom, particularly over winter. The major interest has been on the hydrological impacts of this increase, and so studies have focused on rain

Homogeneity of Climate Aridity Index Trends Using Mann-Kendall Trend Test [PDF]
