Analysis of Trend and Detection of Change Points in Lake Urmia Level and Climatological Parameters Using R Software [PDF]
In recent decade, there has been a substantial reduction in the water level of Lake Urmia. Understanding the underlying causes and pivotal moments of these changes, always have importance in environmental and water resources studies.

Regional Kendall Test for Trend
Trends in environmental variables are often investigated within a study region at more than one site. At each site, a trend analysis determines whether a trend has occurred.

Analysis of Water Yield Changes from 1981 to 2018 Using an Improved Mann-Kendall Test
Water yield (WY) refers to the difference between precipitation and evapotranspiration (ET), which is vital for available terrestrial water. Climate change has led to significant changes in precipitation and evapotranspiration on a global scale, which ...

We document the protocol and first results from the first ever coordinated multimodel variable‐resolution experiment set with refinement over the polar regions. We find that the refinement generally yields model‐dependent effects. The most consistent improvement is an amelioration of the upper‐level cold bias in the polar regions that translates into ...

ABSTRACT Regulated rivers represent complex hydrological systems where groundwater–surface water interactions are governed by natural conditions and human interventions. This study investigates the spatiotemporal dynamics of groundwater–surface water exchanges in the Nechako River, British Columbia (Canada), using numerical simulations.

ABSTRACT The Marias River flows from Glacier National Park through northcentral Montana, and into the Missouri River. Annual flows gradually declined from 1902 to 2024 (~3.2%/decade) and the 1952 Tiber Dam and Lake Elwell reservoir were operated to attenuate peak flows and stabilize downstream flows year‐round.

The study revealed that while groundwater depth trends were generally risk‐free, electrical conductivity showed localized risks in 38% of the Aksu Irrigation System. Overall, 25% of the area was classified as risky. The integrated GIS‐based approach provides a rapid, objective, and cost‐effective tool for precision water management. Abstract Continuous

ABSTRACT This study examines the interplay between climate change, violent conflict and forced migration in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), focusing on asylum flows to the European Union (EU). By integrating high‐resolution climate, conflict and socioeconomic data spanning 2000 to 2023, we develop a comprehensive empirical framework to ...
