Nutritional Profile, Techno‐Functional, and Thermal Properties of Wheat Flour Enriched With Yellow Mopane Worm (Gonimbrasia belina) Powder

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
Yellow mopane worm powder enhanced the nutritional and functional properties of wheat‐based composite flours by increasing protein, lysine, and mineral contents. Substitution levels up to 15% maintained pasting characteristics comparable to wheat flour, highlighting its suitability for the development of nutrient‐dense cereal products.

Spatiotemporal Brain Dynamics of Transitive and Intransitive Action Observation

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 47, Issue 11, 01 August 2026.
In the present study, we demonstrate that observing transitive and intransitive movements engages the Action Observation Network through shared circuits, which are expressed with distinct spatiotemporal gradients. Whole‐brain EEG cluster‐based and microstate analyses revealed differential anterior and posterior dynamics around 200 and 350 ms from ...

On Shell Closure and Beyond: Classification and Functional Interpretation of Chela Types in Paguroidea (Decapoda)

open access: yesJournal of Morphology, Volume 287, Issue 8, August 2026.
MicroCT technology and 3D shape analysis were used to classify paguroid chelae into six distinct shape types: compact, sturdy, elongate, scutiform, discoid, and compact. Each type is linked to characteristic biological roles: paired semidiscoid chelae enable symmetrical shelter closure; scutiform and discoid chelae support one‐sided shelter closure ...
