Adult Dispersal of Tenodera aridifolia sinensis (Mantodea: Mantidae)
Environmental Entomology, 1992Adult male and female mantids, Tenodera aridifolia sinensis Saussure, exhibited similar dispersal in a large, natural field population. Distance and frequency of movement of bee-tagged individuals was the same for each sex, and neither sex demonstrated a significant directional bias.

The Canadian Entomologist, 1928My first work with the comrnon mantid, Stagmomantis carolina John began accidentally. One afternoon in early May, at Dallas, Texas, a number of egg masses of the mantid were placed on my desk for inspection. In looking them over I noticed that several had been parasitized and that in others the nymphs had already emerged.

A preying mantis species (Mantidae) new for the fauna of Russia
Entomological Review, 2009Ameles heldreichi taurica (Jakovlev, 1903), a species unknown from Russia, was found in Krasnodar Territory. The author agrees with the opinion of Kaltenbach (1963) on the subspecies rank of this taxon.
