Paratelmatobius mantiqueira Pombal & Haddad, 1999 (Anura: Leptodactylidae): New specimens and rectification of the type locality of a rare species from the Serra da Mantiqueira, southeastern Brazil

There are currently seven species of small frogs (up to 30 mm in snout-vent length) in the genus Paratelmatobius Lutz & Carvalho 1958 (Frost, 2020). They are all endemic to mountain ranges in the Atlantic Forest, occurring in the Serra do Mar and Serra da Mantiqueira, southeastern Brazil (Santos et al. 2019).

Kempnyia (Plecoptera) from the Mantiqueira Mountains of Brazil

Eight species of Kempnyia Klapálek were collected in the Mantiqueira Mountains at Campos do Jordão, of which six were known: K. colossica (Navás, 1934), K. flava Klapálek, 1916, K. neotropica (Jacobson and Bianchi, 1905), K. obtusa Klapálek, 1916, K. reichardti Froehlich, 1984 and K. tamoya Froehlich, 1984; two are new, K. pirata and K. tupinamba.

A New Species of Megaelosia from the Mantiqueira Range, Southeastern Brazil

-A new species of frog of the genus Megaelosia is described. The new form closely resembles Megaelosia massarti and is distinguished from it by coloration pattern and number of chromosomes. Natural history notes, tadpole description, and a discussion on the conservation status of the new species are provided.
