Support‐Driven Hydrogen Migration Enhances Ammonia Decomposition in Direct Ammonia Protonic Ceramic Fuel Cells

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Enhanced hydrogen species migration enabled by FN/BZY catalyst mitigates intermediate accumulation and improves DA‐PCFC performance during ammonia decomposition. Ammonia, with its high hydrogen density and carbon‐free nature, serves as ideal fuel for direct ammonia protonic ceramic fuel cells (DA‐PCFCs).

The Development of Mantis [PDF]

open access: yesThe American Naturalist, 1898
DR. D. SHARP, in his admirable work on "Insects" in the Cambridge Natural History, vol. v, gives (p. 247) some extraordinary particulars about the development of Mantis, with a figure taken mainly from Dr. Pagenstecher. I have just been observing the facts in the case of a mantis found here, and they do not, in all particulars, agree with Dr.

Bifunctional Role of Surface Cobalt Doping as a Lithium‐Residue Scavenger and Surface Stabilizer in Single‐Crystalline Ultrahigh‐Ni Cathodes

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Surface cobalt coating on single‐crystalline NCA acts as a lithium‐residue scavenger and structural stabilizer. The protective layer suppresses moisture‐ and CO2‐induced reactions, mitigates crack formation, and inhibits the formation of NiO‐like rock‐salt phases. This dual‐function surface engineering enhances interfacial stability and electrochemical

Light‐Induced Structural Reorganization of Fe Centers Unlocks High Efficiency of Visible‐Light Photo‐Fenton Water Cleaning Catalyst

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Bimetallic Cu and Fe oxide species supported on porous silica with interparticle mesoporosity act as efficient photo‐Fenton‐like catalysts under visible light. Photogenerated electrons drive the Cu2+/Cu1+ redox cycle. Part of Cu1+ is responsible for the regeneration of the Fe3+/Fe2+ cycle at neutral pH. Light irradiation additionally induces structural
