Alcohol or Stress Exposure During Late Adolescence Impairs Risk Assessment Later in Life, Disrupting the Ethological Structure of Behavior in Mice

Alcohol and stress during adolescence may lead to long‐lasting impairments in risky decision‐making. We show that adolescent ethanol or yohimbine exposure selectively reduces cautious risk assessment without changing anxiety‐like behaviors, reorganizing behavioral structure.

Simulated CO2 Fertilization Drives Progressive Phosphorus Limitation via Accelerated Organic Cycling in Amazonian Forests

Rising atmospheric CO2 increases phosphorus demand in Amazon forests. Using a microbial‐explicit land model in low and high phosphorus Amazonian forest sites, we show that low‐phosphorus forests increasingly rely on organic phosphorus cycling to sustain productivity.
