On the Conservation Laws and Exact Solutions of a Modified Hunter‐Saxton Equation
We study the modified Hunter‐Saxton equation which arises in modelling of nematic liquid crystals. We obtain local conservation laws using the nonlocal conservation method and multiplier approach. In addition, using the relationship between conservation laws and Lie‐point symmetries, some reductions and exact solutions are obtained.

Gender differences in adolescent school stress: A mixed‐method study
Abstract Previous research has consistently found higher school stress among girls. However, scientific understanding of the underlying factors that may explain those gender differences is limited. This study adopts a mixed‐method approach (QUANT → QUAL) to address this gap.

An age‐dependent population equation with diffusion and delayed birth process
We propose a new age‐dependent population equation which takes into account not only a delay in the birth process, but also other events that may take place during the time between conception and birth. Using semigroup theory, we discuss the well posedness and the asymptotic behavior of the solution.

Heme homeostasis and its regulation by hemoproteins in bacteria
Abstract Heme is an important cofactor and a regulatory molecule involved in various physiological processes in virtually all living cellular organisms, and it can also serve as the primary iron source for many bacteria, particularly pathogens. However, excess heme is cytotoxic to cells. In order to meet physiological needs while preventing deleterious

Linear neutral partial differential equations: a semigroup approach
We study linear neutral PDEs of the form (∂/∂t)Fut = BFut + Φut, t ≥ 0; u0(t) = φ(t), t ≤ 0, where the function u(⋅) takes values in a Banach space X. Under appropriate conditions on the difference operator F and the delay operator Φ, we construct a C0‐semigroup on C0(ℝ−, X) yielding the solutions of the equation.

Abstract Hồ Chí Minh's extended essay Fixing the Way We Work, written in 1947 after he and other high‐ranking members of the recently formed DRV (Democratic Republic of Vietnam; Việt Nam Dân chủ Cộng hòa), had been forced to retreat from Hanoi to the uplands of Thái Nguyên province, elaborates on organizational and practical problems within the party ...

Night Blindness and Vitamin A Deficiency following Jejunoilieal Bypass Surgery
A 42‐year‐old man who developed severe night blindness 15 years following jejunoileal bypass surgery for morbid obesity is described. Ophthamological testing, including dark adaptation, electroretinography and serum vitamin A levels, confirmed a diagnosis of vitamin A deficiency.

In this paper, under appropriate hypotheses, we have the existence of a solution semigroup of partial differential equations with delay operator. These equations are used to describe time–age‐structured cell cycle model. We also prove that the solution semigroup is a frequently hypercyclic semigroup.
