Identification of the source of histoplasmosis infection in two captive maras (Dolichotis patagonum) from the same colony by using molecular and immunologic assays Identificación de la fuente de infección de histoplasmosis de dos maras (Dolichotis patagonum) cautivas procedentes de la misma colonia, utilizando ensayos moleculares e inmunológicos

open access: yesRevista Argentina de Microbiología, 2009
Histoplasma capsulatum was isolated from the spleen of a first infected mara (Dolichotis patagonum) and from a second mara's liver and adrenal gland, both in the same colony at the Africam Safari, Puebla, Mexico. Studies of H.

Fonio (Digitaria exilis and Digitaria iburua) in Nigeria: Regional cultivation patterns, landrace diversity, and farmer knowledge for conserving a climate‐resilient indigenous cereal

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
Fonio (Digitaria exilis and Digitaria iburua) cereals are valued for their drought resilience, adaptability to poor soils, and cultural importance. In Nigeria, where both species are cultivated, fonio has declined due to labor‐intensive processing, lower yields, and changing livelihood choices. By documenting 21 landraces (15 D. exilis and 6 D. iburua),

Pro‐197 mutations confer resistance to thiencarbazone but not to foramsulfuron in ALS‐resistant Poa annua populations

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
Foramsulfuron remains effective on Pro‐197 Poa annua, but co‐formulation with thiencarbazone reduces efficacy due to limited activity and antagonism. Therefore, foramsulfuron + thiencarbazone should be used in fields without ALS‐resistant weeds to ensure effective in‐crop control.
