Additive Manufacturing of Negative Thermal Expansion Metamaterials Using Steels
Architected lattices with tunable negative thermal expansion are fabricated from common steels using laser powder bed fusion metal additive manufacturing. Optimized multimaterial interfaces and geometry‐driven design produce robust, defect‐minimized structures that remain dimensionally stable up to 300 °C, enabling scalable solutions for thermal ...

Studies on Welding of Maraging Steels
AbstractThis work involves with investigations on Maraging steel weldments done by GTA welding technique. Similar welding of maraging steel plates of 5mm thick using ErNiCrMo-3 filler wire was done in order to evaluate the weldability and performance characteristics.

ABSTRACT In this paper, we chart a path to a method that enables us to extract temporal and spatially varying pressure loading effects on the transient response of steel plates under near‐field blast loading, employing ultra‐high‐speed cameras and DIC to measure the transient deformation field. The study addresses the challenges of obtaining full‐field,

Corrosion Behavior of Additively Manufactured Steels: A Comprehensive Review
This review explores the corrosion behavior of various steel types, including austenitic, martensitic, duplex, low‐alloy, and maraging steels, produced via additive manufacturing (AM). It discusses how AM impacts material properties, such as grain structure and the formation of defects like porosity, and highlights the importance of optimizing process ...
