The Early Cretaceous terrestrial revolution was manifested by global shifts from gymnosperm‐ to angiosperm‐dominated floras. However, responses of insect herbivores to these changes remain unexamined. We evaluated 2 176 plant specimens representing 62 species/morphotypes from the 126‐122 Ma Dawangzhangzi plant assemblage of Northeastern China.

Abstract The eusporangiate marattialean ferns represent an ancient radiation with a rich fossil record but limited modern diversity in the tropics. The long evolutionary history without close extant relatives has confounded studies of the phylogenetic origin, rooting and timing of marattialean ferns.

Abstract This is a study of the comparative foliar morphology carried out in seven neotropical species of the genus Marattia Sw.: M. alata Sw., M. cicutifolia Kaulf., M. excavata Underw., M. interposita Christ, M. laevis Sm., M. laxa Kunze, and M. weinmanniifolia Liebm., with the purpose of analyzing their diagnostic characters.
