Oxide Membranes from Bulk Micro‐Machining of SrTiO3 Substrates
Bulk‐micromachining of SrTiO3 substrates is employed to realize suspended structures made of epitaxial thin films of complex oxides such as trampoline resonators and sealed membranes with physical access from both sides. The fabrication protocol relies on wet chemical etching of SrTiO3 and uses (La,Sr)MnO3 as hard mask and device layers.

A reversible wet chemical surface functionalization results in dynamic multivalent receptors showing ligand‐specific high affinity for lectins and bacteria. Abstract The paper reports the design of multivalent bacterial receptors based on reversible self‐assembled monolayers (rSAMs) on gold and glass substrates, mimicking the ligand display on host ...

Unexpected hypersurfaces and where to find them [PDF]
In a recent paper by Cook, et al., which introduced the concept of unexpected plane curves, the focus was on understanding the geometry of the curves themselves. Here we expand the definition to hypersurfaces of any dimension and, using constructions which appeal to algebra, geometry, representation theory and computation, we obtain a coarse but ...

Electrically Tunable Momentum Space Polarization Singularities in Liquid Crystal Microcavities
Using a highly birefringent material embedded in a liquid crystal microcavity, the Rashba‐Dresselhaus resonance is obtained. In this regime, polarization singularities, known as C‐points, are observed in momentum space. The positions of these singularities can be modified by applying an external voltage to the sample.

This long‐term follow‐up study determined survival rates in a Swedish national cohort of 417 patients with breast cancer who all had neoadjuvant systemic therapy (NAST). Sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) was performed before NAST in clinically node‐negative and after NAST in clinically node‐positive patients.
