Abnormal oculocardiac reflex in two patients with Marcus Gunn syndrome [PDF]
Marcus Gunn phenomenon is seen in 4 to 6% of congenital ptosis patients. We report two cases of abnormal oculocardiac reflex during ptosis correction surgery. Marcus Gunn syndrome is an autosomal dominant condition with incomplete penetrance.

Is there a primitive reflex residue underlying Marcus Gunn Syndrome? Rat electrophysiology [PDF]
AIM: To make an electrophysiological demonstration of a possible jaw muscle afferents-oculomotor neural pathway that was proposed by our previous works on rats, which substantiates an early “release hypothesis” on pathogenesis of human Marcus Gunn ...

Neonatal diagnosis of Marcus Gunn jaw‐winking syndrome [PDF]
This report highlights the importance for neonatologists/pediatricians of considering Marcus Gunn jaw‐winking syndrome among differential diagnoses of ptosis. A detailed clinical assessment is crucial to promptly recognize and appropriately manage it.

Mesencephalic trigeminal nucleus neurons with collaterals to both eyelid and masseter muscles shown by fluorescent double-labeling, revealing a potential mechanism for Marcus Gunn Syndrome. [PDF]
Poking palpebral conjunctiva evoked upper-eyelid retraction during ophthalmic surgery. Iatrogenic eyelid ptosis occurred if eyelid branch of lachrymal nerve was sectioned.

Unilateral Levator Aponeurosis Excision for Marcus Gunn Syndrome and Risk Factors of Residual Jaw Winking [PDF]
Purpose. To investigate the association of ptosis, levator, and jaw winking in Marcus Gunn jaw-winking synkinesis (MGJWS), and the risk factor of preservation and outcomes of the unilateral levator excision and frontalis suspension. Methods.

Ophthalmic Complications Following Sinus Lifting Surgery: Case Report and Review of Literature. [PDF]
Pation showed subconjuctival hemorrhage sign, one day after sinus agumentation surgery. ABSTRACT The sinus lift procedure enables implant placement in the posterior maxillary region with insufficient bone volume. Our study presents a case of subconjunctival hemorrhage following an open sinus lift procedure.

Risk and prevalence of Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (REDs) among professional female football players. [PDF]
Abstract A high prevalence of low energy availability (LEA) has been reported in female football players. This is of concern as problematic LEA may evolve into a syndromic pattern known as relative energy deficiency in sport (REDs). Given the difficulties in accurately assessing LEA, our study shifts emphasis to measurable indicators of REDs, serving ...
