Marginal adaptation and fit of adhesive ceramic inlays

open access: yesJournal of Dentistry, 1993
This in vitro study compared the marginal adaptation of CAD/CAM and laboratory-made ceramic inlays before, during and after loading. Six MOD inlay preparations of standardized design with one cervical margin in dentine and the other in enamel were prepared for each inlay type: CAD/CAM fabricated MGC-glass ceramic inlays, CAD/CAM fabricated feldspathic ...

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a

Marginal Fit of All-Ceramic Crown. Marginal Fit at Each Fabrication Step for Staining Technique.

open access: yesNihon Hotetsu Shika Gakkai Zasshi, 1997
This study was conducted to investigate how the ideal marginal fit of wax crown changes through the injecting, staining, glazing, and cementing procedures during fabrication of the IPS Empress crownby the staining technique for the upper first premolar tooth of the Dental Study Model (500 A, NISSIN DENTAL PRODUCTS, Japan).

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Comparing Marginal Fit and Marginal Gap between Sholder Bevel and 135° Finish Line Designs in Posterior Metal Ceramic Restoration Crowns

open access: yesJournal of Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences, 2019
Background and purpose: One of the major challenges for dentists is providing the patients with a crown of appropriate marginal fit and marginal gap. Preparation of a 135° finish line has some advantages such as technical ease and appropriate finish line

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...
