[Qualitative marginal gap research on amalgam fillings].

Zahn-, Mund-, und Kieferheilkunde mit Zentralblatt, 1990
Using x-ray spectroscopy the inorganic contents of the interface tooth restoration of conventional and gamma-2-reduced amalgam fillings were analysed after short and long clinical application. Qualitative difference did not exist between interface layer of both amalgam types.

Guaranteed multi-loop stability margins and the gap metric

Proceedings of the 39th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (Cat. No.00CH37187), 2002
The gap metric and nu-gap metric have many appealing properties for assessing the uncertainty in a plant in a feedback configuration. This short paper addresses the question of relating these generalised stability margins to more traditional single-loop and multiloop robustness measures.

[Reproducible marginal gap measurements of partial ceramic crowns].

Nederlands tijdschrift voor tandheelkunde, 2002
Aim of this research was to test the hypothesis that marginal gap measurements by a digital microscopic image processing computer are reproducible. Light microscopic images of the margins of Artglass partial crowns on stone dies were obtained with a 3CCD color video camera, digitized and processed.

Marginal gap formation of composites in dentine: effect of water storage

Journal of Oral Rehabilitation, 2003
summary  This study investigated the effects of water storage on the marginal adaptation of two composite resins (Spectrum TPH and Ariston AT), two polyacid‐modified composite resins (Dyract AP and F2000) and a new PRG composite (Reactmer) to dentine over time.

Dentin bonding agents: correlation of early bond strength with margin gaps

Dental Materials, 1986
Abstract Tensile and shear bond strengths between restorative resin and flat human dentin surfaces were determined 15 min after polymerization of various resin systems in combination with 5 dentin bonding agents. The maximum marginal contraction gaps around cylindrical dentin cavities were measured for the same material combinations.

Marginal gap repair with flowable resin-based composites.

General dentistry, 2004
This study was designed to test the hypothesis that the flowable/dentin interface has the weakest bond and highest frequency of failure when a resin-based composite is repaired using a flowable composite. Comparing three specific groups--dentin, flowable composite, and hybrid composite-under the Kruskal-Wallis test showed that the mean bond strength ...

Insights, Knowledge Gaps, and Priorities in Marginal Zone Lymphoma Research

ONCOLOGY
Marginal zone lymphoma (MZL) is a rare, indolent form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma that arises from B cells in the marginal zone of lymphoid tissues. MZL comprises 3 key subtypes: extranodal, nodal, and splenic MZL. Despite being generally slow growing, MZL presents significant challenges due to its heterogeneous nature, inconsistently defined disease, and ...

Bridging the Social Capital Gap in Historically Marginalized Populations

ASEE Middle Atlantic 2022 Fall Conference Proceedings
First-generation college (FGC), historically marginalized populations (HMP), and female engineering students often have social capital deficits that impede their transition from college to industry, despite social capital underpinning a successful career in engineering.

Soft-start polymerization and marginal gap formation in vitro.

American journal of dentistry, 2001
To determine the effect of soft-start polymerization of resin-based composites on the marginal gap formation in dentin cavities.Cylindrical cavities were prepared in dentin in extracted human molars. The cavities were distributed into 8 groups. The teeth in groups 1-4 were treated with Scotchbond Multi-Purpose and restored with Z100, and the teeth in ...
