The Causal Marginal Polytope for Bounding Treatment Effects
Due to unmeasured confounding, it is often not possible to identify causal effects from a postulated model. Nevertheless, we can ask for partial identification, which usually boils down to finding upper and lower bounds of a causal quantity of interest derived from all solutions compatible with the encoded structural assumptions.

Evaluating Marginal Policy Changes and the Average Effect of Treatment for Individuals at the Margin [PDF]
This paper develops methods for evaluating marginal policy changes. We characterize how the effects of marginal policy changes depend on the direction of the policy change, and show that marginal policy effects are fundamentally easier to identify and to estimate than conventional treatment parameters.

Heterogeneous treatment effects analysis for social scientists: A review.
Social scientists have long been interested in the varying responses to a specific intervention, motivating the enterprise of heterogeneous treatment effects (HTE) analysis.

A treatment‐specific marginal structural Cox model for the effect of treatment discontinuation
AbstractPatients taking a prescribed medication often discontinue their treatment; however, this may negatively impact their health outcomes. If doctors had statistical evidence that discontinuing some prescribed medication shortened, on average, the time to a clinical event (e.g., death), they could use that knowledge to encourage their patients to ...

Local Average and Marginal Treatment Effects with a Misclassified Treatment
This paper studies identification of the local average and marginal treatment effects (LATE and MTE) with a misclassified binary treatment variable. We derive bounds on the (generalized) LATE and exploit its relationship with the MTE to further bound the MTE.

A computational approach to identification of treatment effects for policy evaluation [PDF]
For counterfactual policy evaluation, it is important to ensure that treatment parameters are relevant to policies in question. This is especially challenging under unobserved heterogeneity, as is well featured in the definition of the local average ...
