Small, EarlyView.Sugar‐based fluorescent low‐molecular‐weight gelators (LMWGs) DNapS, DBTDS, and MCumS, prepared by a green, scalable route, form supramolecular gels in water, organic, and deep eutectic solvents. Despite clear effects of maternal glucocorticoids on growth and social behaviour, social associations did not mitigate these effects, revealing limits to social buffering in this species.

Demographic buffering in natural populations: A multi‐level perspective
