The spatial logic of language Marie Curie Fellow

open access: yes
Ecological approaches to language are typically framed in negative terms, i.e. as a rejection of existing symbolic approaches. I here sketch the outlines of a positive formulation for ecological linguistics. According to this positive formulation, language is built on a pre-existing foundation of spatial reasoning.

Larsen C Ice Shelf in the Western Weddell Sea is a Hotspot for Export Production in the Antarctic Ocean

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Biogeosciences, Volume 131, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract The Southern Ocean accounts for >30% of the global ocean CO2 sink as a result of its solubility and biological pumps. To investigate the biological pump near Larsen C Ice Shelf (LCIS) in the Southern Ocean's western Weddell Sea, we measured the concentrations and nitrogen isotope ratios of nitrate, ammonium, and particulate organic nitrogen ...

Magnetoencephalography Source Connectivity Pipeline Reveals Long‐Range Connectivity in Audio‐Visual Integration

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neuroscience, Volume 63, Issue 7, April 2026.
This study presents a pipeline for analysing source‐level brain connectivity in MEG data, focusing on audio‐visual integration in native Chinese speakers and a control group. Results indicate a crucial role of Delta band connectivity, with native speakers showing distinct pathways between prefrontal and occipital, and also interhemispheric brain areas,

Customer–Robot Interaction Beyond the First Encounter: A Reciprocal Framework and Quadrant Model for Value Co‐Creation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Consumer Studies, Volume 50, Issue 3, April 2026.
ABSTRACT As service robots move from factory floors to frontline service encounters, their success increasingly depends on the quality of customer‐robot interaction (CRI). Existing studies, however, remain fragmented and predominantly grounded in linear technology adoption models, offering limited insight into the dynamic and reciprocal nature of CRI ...

SanA Plays a Role in Peptidoglycan Integrity in Escherichia coli

open access: yesMolecular Microbiology, Volume 125, Issue 4, Page 343-357, April 2026.
SanA is a novel regulator of peptidoglycan synthesis, potentially through functional interplay with PBP1B‐dependent pathways. ABSTRACT Peptidoglycan synthesis and degradation are both essential for bacterial growth, and damaged peptidoglycan must be continuously repaired. In Escherichia coli, peptidoglycan required for cell elongation is synthesized by

Introduction: The (Im)material Spectrum of Manuscript and Print Interaction☆

open access: yesRenaissance Studies, Volume 40, Issue 2, Page 148-165, April 2026.
Abstract This introductory essay to the special issue on Early Modern English Textual Cultures Between Manuscript and Print first outlines previous research into different kinds of interaction between manuscript and print. Examples of this interplay include, for instance, the transmission of text and images from one medium into another, the use of ...
