The Causal Effect of Social Isolation on Cannabis Use Disorder and the Mediating Role of Depression: Evidence From a Mendelian Randomization Study

This study utilized large‐scale GWAS summary statistics to conduct a two‐sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis, revealing that social isolation significantly increases the risk of cannabis use disorder. Furthermore, mediation MR analysis indicated that depression mediates 21.8% of the causal effect.
