Kelas Awet 15 Jenis Kayu Andalan Setempat Terhadap Rayap Kayu Kering, Rayap Tanah Dan Penggerek Di Laut [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990

Evaluation of wooden materials deteriorated by marine-wood boring organisms in the Black Sea

open access: yesMaderas: Ciencia y Tecnología, 2012
Marine borers can destroy wooden structures exposed to the marine environment and cause great monetary loss. In the region of Amasra of the Black Sea in Turkey, ships continue to be built from wood, mainly Castanea sativa (sweet chestnut) and Quercus ...

Some observations on the problem of marine timber destroying organisms of Indian coasts [PDF]

open access: yes, 1964
In India the chief marine timber boring organisms are 2 species of Martesia, 28 species of shipworms, 4 species and a variety of Sphaeroma and 9 species of Limnoria besides bacteria and fungi. The occurrence, abundance and activity of the various species

Effects of ocean acidification on invertebrate settlement at volcanic CO2 vents [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We present the first study of the effects of ocean acidification on settlement of benthic invertebrates and microfauna. Artificial collectors were placed for 1 month along pH gradients at CO2 vents off Ischia (Tyrrhenian Sea, Italy).

Selective Electrolysis of Water Under Artificial Seawater Conditions Using Transition Metal Borate Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
The borate‐based cobalt‐iron catalyst promotes selective oxidation of water rather than chlorine evolution reaction during electrolysis of seawater. When integrated into a zero‐gap electrolyzer prototype, this catalyst supports robust splitting of artificial seawater into oxygen and hydrogen on an extended timescale.

A Quantitative Lithium Inventory Framework for Anode‐Free Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A component‐resolved lithium inventory framework quantitatively tracks Li redistribution across the cell in anode‐free NMC622||Cu pouch cells throughout cycling. Three sequential degradation stages are identified: formation‐driven cathode Li depletion, midlife inactive Li0 accumulation, and late‐stage runaway SEI thickening. The cathode, as the sole Li

Adaptation and acclimatization to ocean acidification in marine ectotherms: an in situ transplant experiment with polychaetes at a shallow CO₂ vent system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Metabolic rate determines the physiological and life-history performances of ectotherms. Thus, the extent to which such rates are sensitive and plastic to environmental perturbation is central to an organism's ability to function in a changing ...

Marine Borers in Calcareous Terrigenous Rocks of the Pacific Coast [PDF]

open access: yesAmerican Zoologist, 1969
Biological attack of carbonate-cemented sandstones and mudstones (Cretaceous and Eocene ages) and semi-consolidated calcareous muds (Holocene age) were studied near La Jolla, southern California. Rocks were collected from the intertidal zone to a depth of 40 m using SCUBA. The deeper samples came from Scripps and La Jolla submarine canyons.

Origin, evolution and biogeographic dynamics of the European rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus) in Southwestern Europe

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract The Pleistocene is a key period for understanding the evolutionary history and palaeobiogeography of the European rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus). The species was first documented in southeastern Iberia at the beginning of the Middle Pleistocene and appears to have rapidly spread throughout Southwestern Europe, where it was found in numerous ...
