Site‐Specific Hydroxide Formation and Corrosion on Mg Nanocrystals
Using single‐crystalline Mg nanocrystals, this study uncovers the intrinsic corrosion initiation mechanism. The stability of the protective Mg(OH)2 film depends on its interfacial coherence with the Mg substrate. Corrosion initiates at exposed corners, where film coverage is incomplete.

Are Preferences for Environmental Quality Sensitive to Financial Funding Schemes? Evidence from a Marine Restoration Programme in the Black Sea [PDF]
This paper uses a non-market valuation study to elicit consumers’ preferences for a marine restoration programme in the Black Sea aiming to reduce the level of public health risk from bathing and improve water quality and the overall level of marine ...

A CCM‐based architectural strategy is introduced for high‐temperature PEM fuel cells, enabling MPL‐free carbon paper gas diffusion layers via decal‐transfer processing. By co‐engineering the CCM, GDL, and a G‐foam flow field, oxygen transport is enhanced while phosphoric‐acid leakage is suppressed, resulting in high power density and stable operation ...

Adhesion‐Driven Removal of Microplastics From Aquatic Systems by Using Microgel Glues
Soft polymeric microgels function as “glues” that aggregate diverse microplastics through multivalent adhesion, promoting their interfacial deposition and co‐precipitation for efficient removal from water. Remarkably, this approach remains effective even for nanoscale plastic particles as small as 50 nm.

The possibility of using steam-gas plants (CCGT) on ships is being investigated. The analysis of publications allows us to conclude that the combined CCGT units used are the efficiency of ship power plants (10-15%). It is noted that the greatest influence on the efficiency of the PGTU cycle, in particular, the attained temperature of the gases in the ...

CO2 reduction in pure water is enabled by a rapid‐transport fixed‐charge interface that couples nanochannels with a cationic microenvironment. This design eliminates the mass transport plateau, stabilizes key reaction intermediates, and suppresses the hydrogen evolution reaction, ultimately achieving ampere‐level current densities and stable operation ...
