NEW SPECIES IN THE ADRIATIC ICHTHYOFAUNA AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC CONSEQUENCES FOR CROATIAN MARINE FISHERIES [PDF]

open access: yesCroatian Journal of Fisheries, 2012
Any change in marine ecosystems has effect on users of marine bioresources, primarily in marine fisheries. The impact of climate change on the marine fisheries sector is complex and the effects can be both positive and negative in economic terms. Changes

A Quantitative Lithium Inventory Framework for Anode‐Free Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A component‐resolved lithium inventory framework quantitatively tracks Li redistribution across the cell in anode‐free NMC622||Cu pouch cells throughout cycling. Three sequential degradation stages are identified: formation‐driven cathode Li depletion, midlife inactive Li0 accumulation, and late‐stage runaway SEI thickening. The cathode, as the sole Li

MARINE RESERVES FOR FISHERIES MANAGEMENT

open access: yes
Conventional methods of regulating commercial fisheries restrict catch by limiting either the quantity or efficiency of fishing effort, or by putting direct limits on catch. These regulatory practices are neither feasible nor desirable for many fisheries,

A Compact Hollow Fiber Electrode Assembly Architecture for Continuous Electrochemical Marine Carbon Dioxide Removal

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A coaxial, membrane‐integrated hollow fiber electrode assembly (HFEA) is developed for continuous marine carbon mineralization. By utilizing a sub‐millimeter inter‐electrode gap, the HFEA minimizes Ohmic losses, achieving 50% energy reduction and over 85% DIC removal.
