Development of Calcium‐Based Coatings to Mitigate Vanadate Corrosion

open access: yesMaterials and Corrosion, EarlyView.
Ca‐rich coatings can suppress the corrosive attack of molten V2O5 by forming Ca2 V2 O7 and Ca V2 O6. For this, a large Ca‐reservoir is key to mitigate corrosion at 600°C and 700°C. ABSTRACT Vanadate corrosion occurs in devices powered by heavy fuel oil, such as stationary turbines.

A Sequential One‐Pot Block Copolymer Synthesis: Toward Mesoporous Carbon Materials for Selective CO2 Adsorption

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, EarlyView.
A sequential one‐pot photo‐iniferter RAFT method greatly simplifies the synthesis of PAN‐based block copolymers, offering quick access to hierarchically porous, N‐doped carbon membranes. This scalable and reliable process allows for easy fabrication of functional materials important for carbon capture applications.

An Integrated Numerical and Bollard Pull Evaluation Approach for Early‐Stage Resistance and Thrust Assessment of a Small Craft

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mechanical System Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Early‐stage hydrodynamic assessment of slender multihull vessels is challenged by limited geometric maturity, uncertain propulsion integration, and strong sensitivity to operating conditions. Under such constraints, reliance on a single analytical or numerical method may lead to misleading design decisions due to oversimplification or ...

An Exact Algorithm for the Traveling Salesman Problem With Pickup and Delivery Under Time Windows and Ride‐Time Constraints

open access: yesNetworks, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The Traveling Salesman problem with pickup, delivery, and ride‐time constraints (TSPPD‐RT) requires a depot‐based vehicle to visit multiple known requests. Each request specifies a pickup vertex, corresponding delivery vertex, and maximum travel time between them (ride‐time). The goal is to find a tour that (i) starts and finishes at the depot,

Tooth Enamel Carbon and Oxygen Isotope Ratios Reveal Shifts in Neolithic Caprine Husbandry on the Dalmatian Coast, Croatia

open access: yesInternational Journal of Osteoarchaeology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Stable isotope analysis of sequential samples of ancient sheep and goat tooth enamel is used to investigate feeding, breeding, and mobility strategies at Neolithic villages on the Dalmatian Coast of Croatia. δ13C values demonstrate clear enrichment of caprine diet in 13C from the Early (c. 8.1–7.5 kya cal.
