Propagation method and species drive survival patterns across reef zones in coral seeding on the Great Barrier Reef

open access: yesRestoration Ecology, EarlyView.
Abstract Introduction Coral reef restoration increasingly relies on scalable methods, yet outcomes vary across species, propagation techniques, and habitats. Coral seeding, where coral propagules are settled on deployment units before outplanting, provides a flexible approach that accommodates both asexual (e.g. microfragments) and sexual (e.g.

Advances in Floating Solar Desalination Systems

open access: yesWater and Environment Journal, EarlyView.
This review critically classifies floating solar desalination systems into five main categories and compares their thermal performance, productivity and technological limitations. Membrane‐based and multieffect systems showed the highest efficiencies, while traditional designs remain limited by heat losses and scaling.

The spread of non‐native species

open access: yesBiological Reviews, Volume 101, Issue 3, Page 1197-1234, June 2026.
ABSTRACT The global redistribution of species through human agency is one of the defining ecological signatures of the Anthropocene, with biological invasions reshaping biodiversity patterns, ecosystem processes and services, and species interactions globally.

Sustainability signaling through PR gifting to social media influencers: A brand perspective

open access: yesFamily and Consumer Sciences Research Journal, Volume 54, Issue 4, June 2026.
Abstract This study examines how fashion brands' PR package gifting to social media influencers shapes consumer perceptions of sustainability. Guided by Consumer Culture Theory, it analyzes TikTok unboxing videos and 34,000+ comments using netnography. Findings show that gifting is driven by aesthetics and relationships, while sustainability discussion

Terrestrial Analogs to Titan for Geophysical Research

open access: yesReviews of Geophysics, Volume 64, Issue 2, June 2026.
Abstract Saturn's moon Titan exhibits remarkable parallels to the Earth in many geophysical and geological processes not found elsewhere in the solar system at the present day. These include a nitrogen atmosphere with a condensible gas—methane—replacing the Earth's water, leading to an active meteorology with rainfall and surface manifestations ...
