Maritime surveillance using GSM passive radar

2012 13th International Radar Symposium, 2012
The application of GSM based passive radar to maritime surveillance is demonstrated by the results of a campaign, that has been carried out around the Bay of Mecklenburg. Using several dislocated GSM illuminators of opportunity, continuous and stable tracks of vessels could be achieved by fusion of multiple bistatic configurations.

System for maritime surveillance aid

Proceedings of SPIE, 1997
A system to aid maritime surveillance is being studied to search for small floating objects like a life raft or to detect oil spill more reliably and efficiently. The system consists of sensors, an image processor and a display so as to reject unnecessary noise in the sea surface images, and then to detect and identify the objects to be searched.

Wide-area spaceborne maritime surveillance system

2017 8th International Conference on Recent Advances in Space Technologies (RAST), 2017
Wide Area Aerial Surveillance (WAAS) systems are gaining popularity nowadays. The main function of WAAS systems is to obtain high resolution images of a large area and create knowledge to facilitate situational awareness. To accomplish that, these systems circling over city-size regions, typically at an altitude of 10.000 feet or higher, obtain images ...
