Mobile Data Fusion for Maritime Surveillance
2017Maritime surveillance operations are needed worldwide to monitor and reassure safety and security across the seas. Numerous devices are employed in order to provide situational awareness of the vast sea. Lots of different technologies are involved to provide multiple views and clarify maritime conditions at a given time and place, however making ...

Maritime Surveillance with Synthetic Aperture Radar
2020This book covers the use of SAR for maritime surveillance applications. It provides a comprehensive source of material on the subject, divided into two parts. The first part deals with models and techniques, while the second part is devoted to maritime surveillance applications. Each chapter covers the basic principles, a critical review of the current

Maritime Surveillance Information Availability in Estonia
2009This paper addresses the problem of the development of maritime surveillance information acquisition, analysis, and dissemination systems in Estonia. Coastal radar and radio (AIS, VHF) surveillance systems for air and marine vessel traffic monitoring have been set up or are currently in the process of being set up by Estonian national authorities. As a

Electro-optical Surveillance in Maritime Environments
2012Asymmetric attacks against maritime platforms often emerge suddenly, non-predictably and from civil environments. Adequate reaction to intercept possible threats requires a quick and overall perception of the emerging situation. For this purpose close-in range surveillance systems capable of day- and night imaging can provide powerful support with ...

The ASV 21 maritime surveillance radar
2017 IEEE Radar Conference (RadarConf), 2017The ASV 21 airborne maritime surveillance radar is described. This radar was in service from 1959 to 1979 with the UK RAF on Avro Shackleton MR2 and MR3, on the RAF Hawker Siddeley Nimrod MR1, and with several other air forces. The radar's performance is analyzed using modern performance prediction methods and compared with contemporary trials reports.
