Unsynchronized markerless motion capture with sharp illumination changes

2010 IEEE International Conference on Image Processing, 2010
Human motion capture typically requires synchronization hardware and specialized cameras, which makes the system expensive and technically complex. Instead, in this paper, we propose a novel approach for markerless motion capture with multiple unsynchronized cameras.

Markerless Motion Capture using Multiple Cameras

Computer Vision for Interactive and Intelligent Environment (CVIIE'05), 2006
Motion capture has important applications in different areas such as biomechanics, computer animation, and human-computer interaction. Current motion capture methods use passive markers that are attached to different body parts of the subject and are therefore intrusive in nature.

Markerless Motion Capture Integrated with Human Modeling for Virtual Ergonomics

2013
This paper refers to the context of virtual ergonomics and specifically addresses a case study of the commercial refrigeration industry. The aim is to develop a computer-aided platform to analyse end-users' postures and movements and ergonomically validate the design of device a man or woman may deal with.

Aerial Markerless Motion Capture

Human motion capture (mocap) is important for several applications such as healthcare, sports, animation etc. Existing markerless mocap methods employ multiple static and calibrated RGB cameras to infer the subject’s pose. These methods are not suitable for outdoor and unstructured scenarios. They need an extra calibration step before the mocap session
