Hierarchically Engineered Multi‐Enzyme Nanoreactors for in vitro Drug Biosynthesis and Pathway Transplantation Into Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A hierarchically structured metal–organic framework (eMIL) is shown to host the complete six‐enzyme biosynthesis pathway for the anti‐cancer pigment violacein, reshaping reaction dynamics and multiplying in vitro yields. eMIL nanoreactors deliver this reconstituted bacterial multi‐protein system into mammalian cells, where cell‐derived substrates and ...

Market Integration and Market Concentration in Horizontally Differentiated Industries [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper derives the impact of market integration on equilibrium firm size and market concentration in horizontally differentiated industries. We show that market concentration (measured by the number of firms) can rise as a consequence of market ...

Leaftronics: Bio‐Fractal Scaffolds From Leaf Venation for Low‐Waste Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
“Leaftronics” transforms naturally evolved leaf venation into quasi‐fractal scaffolds for sustainable electronics. Polymer‐infiltrated leaf skeletons can be used to fabricate ultra‐smooth, reflow‐ and thin‐film‐compatible decomposable substrates, while making the same lignocellulose networks conducting results in flexible transparent electrodes.

Pulsed Electrolysis Prevents Sulfur Poisoning for Sustained Sulfide Valorization

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Integrating pulsed electrolysis with Sc‐doped NiFe‐LDH enables sustainable sulfide valorization, achieving >500 h stability, 99.8% efficiency. Moreover, this technology produces high‐purity sulfur and sodium formate, boosting profit by 121% to $1,294.7 per tonne of hydrogen.

Air pollution by persistent organic pollutants from organic fuel combustion by stationary sources: the case of the Odesa agglomeration

open access: yesEnvironmental Systems Research
The purpose of this paper is to determine the volumes of formation of all pollutants and accumulation of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) during the combustion of organic fuel by stationary sources illustrated by the case of Odesa Industrial-And ...

Decoding THz‐Driven Dynamic Fingerprints of Ferroelectric Nanotwin Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Ultrafast polarization dynamics in ferroelectrics are of considerable interest for high‐speed tunable dielectrics and electro‐optics. Extended domain wall networks formed in ferroelectric twin nanodomains can support collective dynamics in the terahertz regime but require techniques that track polarization and strain evolution driven by ...
