A paradigm of the marketplace

C eramic brackets have had a startlingly enthusiastic acceptance by orthodontists. Since the AA0 annual meeting in Montreal in May 1987, millions of brackets have been sold. However, in a discussion with a peer on the brackets’ popularity, the possibiity of patient injury associated with ceramic brackets was mentioned.
