Control of Open Quantum Systems via Dynamical Invariants
Dynamical invariants are used to reverse‐engineer control fields for open quantum systems described by time‐dependent Lindblad master equations. By minimizing an analytic leakage functional, the protocol dynamically steers the state along an effectively decoherence‐free path without costly iterative propagation.

Abstract Passive acoustic telemetry systems are widely deployed to track animals in aquatic environments. However, investments in integrative methods of data analysis have remained comparatively limited, with current workflows typically considering individual movements separately from space use, home ranges and residency.

Leveraging machine learning and accelerometry to classify animal behaviours with uncertainty
Abstract Animal‐worn sensors have revolutionised the study of animal behaviour and ecology. Accelerometers, which measure changes in acceleration across planes of movement, are increasingly being used in conjunction with machine learning models to classify animal behaviours across taxa and research questions.

Abstract The Elo Rating System which originates from competitive chess has been widely utilised in large‐scale online educational applications where it is used for on‐the‐fly estimation of ability, item calibration, and adaptivity. In this paper, we aim to critically analyse the shortcomings of the Elo rating system in an educational context, shedding ...
