Markov Perfect Equilibrium in the US digital camera market
Abstract This paper examines the model launch and withdrawal decisions of the major digital camera makers for the period 1996–1999. These manufacturers produce differentiated products and some have the experience of participating in a similar market—the film camera market. This paper investigates to what extent the following four factors affect firms'

Rawlsian Intergenerational Justice as a Markov-Perfect Equilibrium in a Resource Technology
It is well known that the Rawlsian maximin criterion has undesirable properties when applied to problems of intergenerational allocation. G. Calvo [ibid. 45, 97-102 (1978; Zbl 0399.90032)] and A. Rodriguez [ibid. 48, 599-605 (1981; Zbl 0486.90008)] addressed the problem by applying a utility function for each generation being additively separable in ...

Markov perfect equilibrium in multi-period games between sponsor and bureau
We formulate a simple model of the interaction between a sponsor and a bureau. The sponsor sets the bureau's budget while the bureau decides on how much to spend on slack. We compute numerically Markov perfect equilibria of multi-period games where the agents move alternately and apply Markov strategies.
