Aim. The research aims to develop mathematical models for evaluating the reliability of two-story frame systems under the seismic impact, covering all possible ways of transition to the mechanism state due to the formation of plastic hinges in the frame ...

Quantum Semi-Markov Processes [PDF]
We construct a large class of non-Markovian master equations that describe the dynamics of open quantum systems featuring strong memory effects, which relies on a quantum generalization of the concept of classical semi-Markov processes. General conditions for the complete positivity of the corresponding quantum dynamical maps are formulated.

Metastability in a Stochastic Neural Network Modeled as a Velocity Jump Markov Process [PDF]
One of the major challenges in neuroscience is to determine how noise that is present at the molecular and cellular levels affects dynamics and information processing at the macroscopic level of synapti- cally coupled neuronal populations. Often noise is

Sufficient stochastic maximum principle for the optimal control of semi-Markov modulated jump-diffusion with application to Financial optimization [PDF]
The finite state semi-Markov process is a generalization over the Markov chain in which the sojourn time distribution is any general distribution. In this article we provide a sufficient stochastic maximum principle for the optimal control of a semi ...

Generalized Markov stability of network communities
We address the problem of community detection in networks by introducing a general definition of Markov stability, based on the difference between the probability fluxes of a Markov chain on the network at different time scales.

This work is devoted to an M -valued Markov process with a periodic transition probability function, where M is a Polish space. Sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of the periodic Markov process are given.

Piecewise deterministic Markov process - recent results [PDF]
We give a short overview of recent results on a specific class of Markov process: the Piecewise Deterministic Markov Processes (PDMPs). We first recall the definition of these processes and give some general results.

Reliability modelling and analysis of a multi-state element based on a dynamic Bayesian network [PDF]
This paper presents a quantitative reliability modelling and analysis method for multi-state elements based on a combination of the Markov process and a dynamic Bayesian network (DBN), taking perfect repair, imperfect repair and condition-based ...

Research on Reliability Test Cycle of Drive Motor System Based on User Model
To address the issues in reliability bench tests for drive motor system of electric vehicle, particularly low correlation between reliability test conditions and real-world user driving scenarios, as well as non-equivalence in damage effects, a method ...
