True imitation in marmosets

Animal Behaviour, 2000
Marmosets, Callithrix jacchus, observed a demonstrator removing the lids from a series of plastic canisters to obtain a mealworm. When subsequently allowed access to the canisters, marmosets that observed a demonstrator using its hands to remove the lids used only their hands.

Marmoset husbandry and nutrition

Digestive Diseases and Sciences, 1985
The experimental use of small New World primates such as the tamarin and marmoset has provided new challenges in nutrition and husbandry for primate colony managers. Because Saguinus oedipus oedipus is an endangered species, successful captive breeding will be vital to continued experimental use of these animals.

Marrow Chimerism in Marmosets

Science, 1962
In the femoral marrow of three adult marmosets, two male Callithrix jacchus and one female Leontocebus rosalia , a number of opposite-sexed metaphases were found. It is inferred that this chimeric state resulted from intrauterine placental anastomoses between heterosexual twins.

Studies on the dentition of the marmoset

Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, 1954
Abstract In this relatively small sample of thirty-eight marmoset skulls, a relatively high incidence of several dental abnormalities has been observed; calculus, pigmentation, malocclusion in several forms, and mild to relatively extensive periodontal involvement. However, no evidence of dental caries was seen.

Hepatitis Transmission in Marmosets

Journal of Infectious Diseases, 1975
The Barker and Berlin strains of hepatitis agent were serially passaged in cotton-topped marmosets, but attempts to isolate a new strain were unsuccessful. Cross-protection tests suggested that the Barker and Berlin agents were serologically related, but normal human immunoglobulin did not protect animals against the Berlin agent.

Experiences with marmoset

ACM SIGCSE Bulletin, 2006
We developed Marmoset, an automated submission and testing system, to explore techniques to provide improved feedback to both students and instructors as students work on programming assignments, and to collect data to perform detailed research on the development processes of students.
