AbstractWe report on a mother and daughter with Marshall syndrome, with the Robin sequence present in the daughter. Results of our efforts to link this syndrome to a defect in type II collagen are reported. We compare and contrast Marshall syndrome with the Stickler syndrome, and propose that enough phenotypic overlap exists to suggest that they are ...

Marshals, monotone marshals, and hypertree‐width
Journal of Graph Theory, 2004AbstractThe tree‐width of a hypergraph H equals one less than the number of cops necessary to catch the robber in the Monotone Robber and Cops Game played on H. Analogously, the hypertree‐width of a hypergraph is characterised by the Monotone Robber and Marshals Game.

This paper contrasts the approaches of Alfred Marshall and Francis Y. Edgeworth to economics, paying particular attention to their views on moral philosophy and the role of mathematics in economics. Edgeworth's analysis of trade unions, stimulated by Marshall's discussion, is examined in relation to subsequent analyses of trade union bargaining models.

Marshall at the times of Marshall
In the late nineteenth century, Alfred Marshall identified three micro-foundations of agglomeration economies: labour pooling (LP), input sharing (IO), and knowledge spillovers (KS). An extensive literature has tested the existence of the three Marshallian forces in modern economies.Filippo Boeri, Olmo Silva
