OPTIMIZED MACHINE LEARNING METHODS FOR PREDICTION OF MARSHALL STABILITY VALUES

open access: yesInternational Journal of 3D Printing Technologies and Digital Industry
This study evaluates the performance of machine learning algorithms in predicting Marshall stability values to improve quality control processes in highway pavements. Coring is a costly, time-consuming and destructive method, which increases the need for alternative prediction models.

Effect of Delay in Testing Asphalt Concrete Specimens for Marshall Stability, MLR-86-08, Draft, 1986 [PDF]

open access: yes, 1986
The Central Laboratory has been delaying the mix design testing of 2 1/2" X 4" Marshall specimens for stability, until the next day after molding. For example, if the mixes are made and samples molded on Friday a man would have to come in and work on ...

Organizational Resilience to Exogenous Shocks: The Role of Environmental Performance

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This research examines the influence of environmental performance on organizational resilience during an exogenous shock. Drawing on the natural resource–based view, a sample of 3920 firms from 11 sectors and 19 countries is analyzed. This study employs OLS regressions and Cox proportional hazard models to test the effect of environmental ...

The Sexual Recidivism Rates of Women Are Still Low: An Updated Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesCriminal Behaviour and Mental Health, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Compared to men, women are less likely to sexual offend. Previous reviews found low rates of sexual recidivism among women. The last published meta‐analysis was based on studies from before 2010. Aims Conduct an updated meta‐analysis of the sexual recidivism rates of women returned to the community.

Application of Cantabrian and Binder Drainage Tests in Designing of Porous Asphalt Binder Content [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Traditional mix design methods which normally incorporate the Marshall test are not appropriate to design porous asphalt because of the insensitivity of the Marshall stability values to variations in binder content.
