In Situ X‐Ray Diffraction Study of a Microwave‐Based Hydrothermal Synthesis of Mayenite Ca12Al14O33

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, EarlyView.
Microwave‐assisted hydrothermal synthesis enables rapid transformation of aluminium‐ and calcium‐hydroxide into mayenite with high surface area. Optimised synthesis conditions comprise a microwave step at 80°C for 5 min followed by calcination at 800°C. The reactions during calcination were studied via in situ XRD measurements.

Morphology and Photoelectrochemical Properties of Sputtered WO3:Mo Anodes

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, EarlyView.
WO3:Mo thin films for photoelectrochemical water splitting were deposited by sputtering from a W:Mo target. Substrate temperature, pressure, oxygen partial pressure, deposition rate, and film thickness were systematically varied. The results show that the substrate temperature is the dominant parameter governing both the film morphology and the ...

Inferential misconceptions and replication crisis

open access: yesEpidemiology, Biostatistics and Public Health, 2022
Misinterpretations of the p value and the introduction of bias through arbitrary analytical choices have been discussed in the literature for decades. Nonetheless, they seem to have persisted in empirical research, and criticisms of p value misuses have

Pollinator community composition and pollen resource use in calcareous grasslands under different landscape contexts across Europe

open access: yesJournal of Animal Ecology, EarlyView.
In this paper, we show that pronounced differences in pollinator communities exist between grasslands embedded in contrasting agricultural landscape contexts. Opportunistic foraging strategies of most pollinators resulted in large interaction turnover, but these shifts did not translate into major changes in overall network structure, most likely as a ...

Luther, Martin

open access: yes, 1999
The specialist portal ‘Witch Research’ was published between 1996 and 2015 as part of the Server for the Early Modern Period and Historicum.net, which is operated by the Bavarian State Library. An important core offering of this portal, for which editors were responsible for the content, was the ‘Lexikon zur Geschichte der Hexenverfolgung’ (Lexicon on ...

The Dark Pyramid: Unpacking the Multidimensional Nature of the Dark Side of Leadership

open access: yesBritish Journal of Management, EarlyView.
Abstract The dark side of leadership has been employed as an umbrella term to cover an array of concepts typically concerned with the dysfunctionality and/or toxicity of individual leaders. As the field of leadership studies moves towards ‘post‐heroic’ perspectives, we apply the same ontological positioning, adopting a ‘post‐villainous’ perspective in ...

Russian wheat aphid: a model for genomic plasticity and a challenge to breeders

open access: yesInsect Science, EarlyView.
Invasive foundress finds suitable habitat and reproduces through pathogenesis. Wingless females produce life offspring quickly, which leads to high population densities. High population densities result in competition, which may induce epigenetic changes and wing development for dispersal.
