Residual Energy Spectrum of Solar Wind Turbulence

open access: yes, 2013
It has long been known that the energy in velocity and magnetic field fluctuations in the solar wind is not in equipartition. In this paper, we present an analysis of 5 years of Wind data at 1 AU to investigate the reason for this.

Genomic and host range studies of Maruca vitrata nucleopolyhedrovirus

open access: yesJournal of General Virology, 2008
The complete genome of the Maruca vitrata nucleopolyhedrovirus (MaviNPV) isolated from the legume pod borer, Maruca vitrata (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae), was sequenced. It was found to be 111 953 bp in length, with an overall 39 % G+C content, and contained 126 open reading frames (ORFs) encoding predicted proteins of over 50 aa.

Development of pest management modules and their economic evaluation for legume pod borer, Maruca vitrata (Pyralidae: Lepidoptera) incowpea (Vigna unguiculata)

open access: yesThe Indian Journal of Agricultural Sciences
Legume pod borer, Maruca vitrata (Geyer) is a major constraint in production of cowpea [Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp.] in India. A field experiment was conducted during rainy (kharif) season of 2021–22 and 2022–23 at ICAR-Indian Institute of Pulses ...

Progeny fitness determines the performance of the parasitoid Therophilus javanus, a prospective biocontrol agent against the legume pod borer

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Therophilus javanus (Bhat & Gupta) is an exotic larval endoparasitoid newly imported from Asia into Africa as a classical biological control agent against the pod borer Maruca vitrata (Fabricius).
