The evolution of gregariousness in parasitoid wasps [PDF]

open access: yesProc Biol Sci, 1998
Data are assembled on the clutch-size strategies adopted by extant species of parasitoid wasp. These data are used to reconstruct the history of clutch-size evolution in the group using a series of plausible evolutionary assumptions.

The ethology of the wasp, Pseudomasaris edwardsii (Cresson), and a description of its immature forms (Hymenoptera: Vespoidea, Masaridae) [PDF]

open access: yesContributions in science, 1970
In a greenhouse, each nest of Pseudomasaris edwardsii (Cresson) was constructed of nectar-moistened soil, was solitary and was placed in open but concealed niches attached to a variety of substrates. A Key to the Species of Spintharina With Descriptions of New Species and Indication of Species Groups (Hymenoptera, Chrysididae)

open access: yesPsyche: A Journal of Entomology, Volume 94, Issue 1-2, Page 93-101, 1987., 1987
Spintharina Semenov (type species: vagans Radoszkowski occurs in the southern Palearctic and Ethiopian Regions. This group is characterized by the absence of teeth on tergum III, a long triangular forewing marginal cell, and an apically blunt or emarginate lateral propodeal projection. Fragmentary evidence points to Masaridae as hosts.
