Mechanical Recycling of Silicone Rubber: Influence of Particle Size and Quantity

Silicone rubbers of three different hardnesses were ground into particles and used as fillers in a liquid silicone rubber matrix, whereby the particle size and quantity varied. The mechanical properties were only slightly altered by the addition of ground particles and showed the general possibility of mechanical silicone recycling.

The effectiveness of mechanical flushing bars is limited and depends on driving speed, vegetation structure and species composition. Results of a Round Robin Test for the Determination of Polarization Resistances on Differently Weathered Zinc Samples Using Gel Electrolytes
