Gold‐stabilized copper suppresses hydroxide‐driven deactivation during anodic hydrogen evolution from furfural. Pairing this low‐potential anode with CO‐to‐ethylene electroreduction enables sub‐1 V operation at 400 mA cm−2, high single‐pass CO conversion, and co‐production of ethylene, furoic acid, and a separate hydrogen stream.

We discuss miniaturization in mass spectrometry in terms of the mass analyzer, the mass spectrometer, and the total analytical system. Mass analyzer miniaturization has focused on ion traps. Decreases in mass analyzer size facilitate reduction of the sizes of the other components of a miniature mass spectrometer, especially the radio frequency ...

Mass Analyzers and Mass Spectrometers
2016Mass spectrometers are comprised of three main components: an ion source, a mass analyzer, and a detector. Ionization of the analyte occurs in the ion source and the resulting ions are counted at the detector. However, it is the mass analyzer that is responsible for determing the mass-to-charge ratio (m/z) of the ions (Jennings KR, Dolnikowski GG ...
