Diagnostics of low and atmospheric pressure plasmas by means of mass spectrometry [PDF]
The knowledge of absolute fluxes of reactive species such as radicals or energetic ions to the surface is crucial for understanding the growth or etching of thin films. These species have due to their high reactivity very low densities and their detection is therefore a challenging task.

SLC7A11 frequently migrates faster in SDS‐PAGE. The present study found that the high hydrophobicity of SLC7A11 causes its anomalous migration in SDS‐PAGE with a low concentration of acrylamide gel. Replacing isoleucine with asparagine reduced hydrophobicity and restored its normal migration at 55 kDa, revealing the role of hydrophobicity and gel ...

Analysis of protein-DNA interactions in chromatin by UV induced cross-linking and mass spectrometry
Cross-linking mass spectrometry (XLMS) allows mapping of protein-protein and protein-RNA interactions, but the analysis of protein-DNA complexes remains challenging.

Machine-learning-enhanced time-of-flight mass spectrometry analysis [PDF]
Mass spectrometry is a widespread approach to work out what are the constituents of a material. Atoms and molecules are removed from the material and collected, and subsequently, a critical step is to infer their correct identities based from patterns formed in their mass-to-charge ratios and relative isotopic abundances.

Identification of a Widespread Palmitoylethanolamide Contamination in Standard Laboratory Glassware. [PDF]
Introduction: Fatty acid ethanolamides (FAEs) are a family of lipid mediators that participate in a host of biological functions. Procedures for the quantitative analysis of FAEs include organic solvent extraction from biological matrices (e.g., blood ...

Recommendations for reporting ion mobility Mass Spectrometry measurements
Here we present a guide to ion mobility mass spectrometry experiments, which covers both linear and nonlinear methods: what is measured, how the measurements are done, and how to report the results, including the uncertainties of mobility and collision ...

Liver‐specific knockout of N6‐methyladenosine (m6A) methyltransferase METTL3 significantly accelerated hepatic tumor initiation under various oncogenic challenges, contrary to the previously reported oncogenic role of METTL3 in liver cancer cell lines or xenograft models. Mechanistically, METTL3 deficiency reduced m6A deposition on Manf transcripts and

Identification of Aflatoxins by Quadrupole Mass Spectrometry/Mass Spectrometry
Abstract MS/MS daughter experiments were recorded for aflatoxins B1, B2, G1, G2, M1, M2, and aflatoxicol, using 3 ionization modes. Daughters were recorded from the molecular ion (M+) using electron impact ionization (EI). Daughters from the protonated molecules (MH+) were recorded in the positive ion mode and the daughters from the ...

We obtained potential bacterial laccase‐like multicopper oxidase (LMCO) sequences through metagenomic sequencing. All sequences exhibited significant differences from known LMCOs in databases. To select the most promising candidates, we performed structure prediction and molecular docking using alphafold2, metal3d and rosetta.
