Methane Cluster Fragmentation by Fast Electron Impact

open access: yesAtoms, 2023
We investigate the fragmentation of the CH4 cluster by fast electron impact at stagnation pressures from 0.5 bar to 16 bar. By measuring the time of flight spectrum (TOF), two types of ions, including (CH4)n−1CH5+ and (CH4)n−2(C2Hm)+, are observed.

A Novel Diagnostic Biomarker, PZP, for Detecting Colorectal Cancer in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients Identified by Serum-Based Mass Spectrometry

open access: yesFrontiers in Molecular Biosciences, 2021
Background: Growing evidence has confirmed that populations with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) have an increasing risk of developing colorectal cancer (CRC).

Quantitative Ubiquitinomics Revealed Abnormal Ubiquitinated ATP7A Involved in Down-Regulation of ACTH in Silent Corticotroph Adenomas

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology, 2022
Ubiquitination is reported to be a critical biological event on ACTH secretion in corticotroph adenomas. However, the effect of ubiquitylation on ACTH secretion in silent corticotroph adenomas (SCAs) remains unclear.

Target mass dependence of photoneutron spectrum for 16.6 MeV photons on medium-heavy mass targets [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2023
We measured neutron energy spectra for the photonuclear reactions of 16.6 MeV linearly polarized photons on Pb, Au, Sn, Cu, Fe and Ti. The spectra for each target show dependence on the target mass, as well as on the angle between the directions of ...

Neutrino mass spectrum and lepton mixing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
The program of reconstruction of the neutrino mass and flavor spectrum is outlined and the present status of research is summarized. We describe the role of future solar and atmospheric neutrino experiments, detection of the Galactic supernovae and ...

Particle production in time-dependent gravitational fields: the expanding mass shell [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We compute the production of particles from the gravitational field of an expanding mass shell. Contrary to the situation of Hawking radiation and the production of cosmological perturbations during cosmological inflation, the example of an expanding ...

Axion minicluster power spectrum and mass function [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
When Peccei-Quinn (PQ) symmetry breaking happens after inflation, the axion field takes random values in causally disconnected regions. This leads to fluctuations of order one in the axion energy density around the QCD epoch.

The thermodynamics of the Hagedorn mass spectrum [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
No bootstrap assumption is needed to derive the exponential growth of the Hagedorn hadron mass spectrum: It is a consequence of the second law applied to a relativistic gas, and the relativistic equivalence between inertial mass and its heat content. The

New sialic acid-containing sulfolipid: “ungulic acid”

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1969
Human epidermis, hair, nails, and kidney as well as bovine and horses' hooves were found to contain a lipid fraction, which on thin-layer chromatography migrated slightly ahead of the cerebroside sulfate esters and gave the color reaction specific for ...
