Mass spectrum of elementary particles [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2023
In this study, we discuss different methods for quantifying the mass of elementary particles. The Barut’s model approach gives us a more comprehensive understanding of elementary particles and their formation through magnetic interaction.

Five Surfactin Isomers Produced during Cheonggukjang Fermentation by Bacillus pumilus HY1 and Their Properties

open access: yesMolecules, 2021
The cyclic lipopeptide produced from Bacillus pumilus strain HY1 was isolated from Korean soybean sauce cheonggukjang. The chemical structures of the surfactin isomers were analyzed using matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass ...

A MASS SPECTRUM FOR LEPTONS AND QUARKS [PDF]

open access: yesModern Physics Letters A, 1993
A suggestive phenomenological relation is found among the lepton and quark masses which suggests a new insight into the problem of generations and also gives a prediction for the top quark mass in agreement with the range of values which is actually expected.

On the hadronic mass spectrum [PDF]

open access: yesIl Nuovo Cimento A Series 10, 1967
We argue that the sole requirement of a self-consistent bootstrap including all hadrons up to infinite mass leads to asymptotically exponential laws for the hadron mass spectrum, for momentum distributions, and for form factors (and to a highest temperature).

Anatomy of the Higgs mass spectrum [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1997
We analyze the implications of a Higgs discovery on possible "new-physics" scenarios, for mH up to ~700 GeV. For this purpose we critically review lower and upper limits on the Higgs mass in the SM and in the MSSM, respectively. Furthermore, we discuss the general features of possible "heavy" (mH≳2mZ) Higgs scenarios by means of a simple heavy-fermion ...

Immediate Breast Reconstruction among Patients with Medicare and Private Insurance: A Matched Cohort Analysis

open access: yesPlastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Global Open, 2018
Background:. By eliminating economic hurdles, the Women’s Health and Cancer Rights Act of 1998 represented a paradigm shift in the availability of breast reconstruction. Yet, studies report disparities among Medicare-insured women.

Bioactive Compounds in Garlic (Allium sativum) and Black Garlic as Antigout Agents, Using Computer Simulation

open access: yesLife, 2022
Uric acid, which causes gout, is the end product of purine catabolism, synthesized by xanthine oxidase, guanine deaminase, adenine deaminase, purine nucleoside phosphorylase, and 5-nucleotidase II.

Methane Cluster Fragmentation by Fast Electron Impact

open access: yesAtoms, 2023
We investigate the fragmentation of the CH4 cluster by fast electron impact at stagnation pressures from 0.5 bar to 16 bar. By measuring the time of flight spectrum (TOF), two types of ions, including (CH4)n−1CH5+ and (CH4)n−2(C2Hm)+, are observed.
