Marine Pollution Bulletin, 2019
Anthropogenic contamination of beaches in the south of Brazil was assessed by detection of Escherichia coli, human mastadenovirus species C (HAdV-C) and F (HAdV-F) and hepatitis E virus (HEV). Sampling was carried out in October (2016), and in January, April and July (2017).

Characteristics of mastadenovirus h8, the causative agent of epidemic keratoconjunctivitis

Archives of Virology, 1983
Adenovirus 8 (Ad 8, strain 1127) has the general structural features of an adenovirus; it produces the genus-specific hexon antigen. The fiber length of 12 nm corresponds to that of other subgenus D adenoviruses. In hemagglutination-inhibition, Ad 8 is related to Ad9 and Ad 15/H9.

Evaluation of Mastadenovirus and Rotavirus Presence in Phyllostomid, Vespertilionid, and Molossid Bats Captured in Rio Grande do Sul, Southern Brazil.

Food and Environmental Virology
(Uploaded by Plazi for the Bat Literature Project) Bat-borne viruses may affect public health and the global economy. These mammals have a wide geographical distribution and unique biological, physiological, and immunogenic characteristics, allowing the dissemination of many known and unknown viruses.

Novel mastadenovirus infection and clinical disease in a pygmy marmoset (Callithrix [Cebuella] pygmaea)

Veterinary Microbiology, 2013
We describe the detection and successful isolation of a novel mastadenovirus from a pygmy marmoset (Callithrix [Cebuella] pygmaea) that died following an episode of severe respiratory signs. Pathologic/histopathologic examination revealed hydrothorax and catarrhal bronchopneumonia with pronounced desquamation of the bronchiolar epithelial cells, while ...

Inoculation of lambs with ovine adenovirus 5 (Mastadenovirus ovi 5) strain RTS-42.

open access: closedAmerican Journal of Veterinary Research, 1986
SUMMARY Twelve 1-week-old colostrum-deprived lambs inoculated with the RTS-42 strain of Mastadenovirus ovi 5 were killed and necropsied (2 lambs/day) on postinoculation days (pid) 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, and 21. Four noninoculated lambs were killed and necropsied (2/day) on pid 6 and 12.

Isolation and partial characterization of a human adenovirus type 4 temperature-sensitive mutant (Mastadenovirus h 4 tsl)

open access: closedCanadian Journal of Microbiology, 1984
A random selection procedure was used to isolate a temperature-sensitive (ts) mutant of human adenovirus type 4 (Mastadenovirus h 4 tsl) from nitrous acid mutagenized virus stock. The mutant displayed restricted growth at the nonpermissive temperature of 39 °C.

Sequence analysis of a novel Mastadenovirus isolated in a Pygmy Marmoset (Callithrix [Cebuella] pygmaea)

open access: closed, 2011
Adenoviruses are present worldwide infecting a large variety of hosts each with their own specific target species. To date, there have been no reported incidents of the detection of an own Adenovirus infection within the Marmoset genera. The purpose of this study was firstly to identify and sequence the Adenovirus isolated from the Pygmy Marmoset ...
