Synchronization and anti-synchroniztion of dynamically coupled networks
We consider the coupling between two networks, each having N nodes whose individual dynamics is modeled by a two-state master equation. The intra-network interactions are all-to-all, whereas the inter-network interactions involve only a small percentage ...

Non-Markovian dynamics of a qubit coupled to an Ising spin bath
We study the analytically solvable Ising model of a single qubit system coupled to a spin bath. The purpose of this study is to analyze and elucidate the performance of Markovian and non-Markovian master equations describing the dynamics of the system ...

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

Chiral SUSY theories with a suppressed SUSY charge
We discuss the SUSY Ward Identities in terms of the BRST Master Equation. This requires that the theory be coupled to Supergravity. In this paper we will mostly truncate the Supergravity part and consider the simpler Chiral and Gauge Realizations of SUSY.

Superstring field theory with open and closed strings
We construct Lorentz invariant and gauge invariant 1PI effective action for closed and open superstrings and demonstrate that it satisfies the classical BV master equation.

Eternally non-Markovian dynamics of a qubit interacting with a single-photon wavepacket
An evolution of a two-level system (qubit) interacting with a single-photon wave packet is analyzed. It is shown that a hierarchy of master equations gives rise to phase covariant qubit evolution.

Semiclassical theory of vibrational energy relaxation
A theory of vibrational energy relaxation based on a semiclassical treatment of the quantum master equation is presented. Using new results on the semiclassical expansion of dipole matrix elements, we show that in the classical limit the master equation ...

Open group transformations [PDF]
Open groups whose generators are in arbitrary involutions may be quantized within a ghost extended framework in terms of a nilpotent BFV-BRST charge operator.

Regularity Theory and Extension Problem for Fractional Nonlocal Parabolic Equations and the Master Equation [PDF]
We develop the regularity theory for solutions to space-time nonlocal equations driven by fractional powers of the heat operator $$(\partial_t-\Delta)^su(t,x)=f(t,x),\quad\hbox{for ...

Markovian master equations [PDF]
We give a rigorous proof that under certain technical conditions the memory effects in a quantum-mechanical master equation become negligible in the weak coupling limit. This is sufficient to show that a number of open systems obey an exponential decay law in the weak coupling limit for a rescaled time variable.
