A Cre‐dependent lentiviral vector for neuron subtype‐specific expression of large proteins

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We designed a versatile and modular lentivector comprising a Cre‐dependent switch and self‐cleaving 2A peptide and tested it for co‐expression of GFP and a 2.8 kb gene of interest (GOI) in mouse cortical parvalbumin (PV+) interneurons and midbrain dopamine (TH+) neurons.

Mean Field Game with Delay: A Toy Model

open access: yesRisks, 2018
We study a toy model of linear-quadratic mean field game with delay. We “lift” the delayed dynamic into an infinite dimensional space, and recast the mean field game system which is made of a forward Kolmogorov equation and a backward ...

Wave Function Realization of a Thermal Collision Model

open access: yesEntropy, 2022
An efficient algorithm to simulate dynamics of open quantum system is presented. The method describes the dynamics by unraveling stochastic wave functions converging to a density operator description.

How accurate are the non-linear chemical Fokker-Planck and chemical Langevin equations?

open access: yes, 2011
The chemical Fokker-Planck equation and the corresponding chemical Langevin equation are commonly used approximations of the chemical master equation.

Markovian master equations. II

open access: yesMathematische Annalen, 1976
We prove some theorems on the behaviour of solutions of master equations in the weak coupling limit, obtaining an exponential decay law under more general conditions than in an earlier paper. As well as applying the theory to a new type of example, we analyse some previously unstudied aspects of the dissipative behaviour.

By dawn or dusk—how circadian timing rewrites bacterial infection outcomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The circadian clock shapes immune function, yet its influence on infection outcomes is only beginning to be understood. This review highlights how circadian timing alters host responses to the bacterial pathogens Salmonella enterica, Listeria monocytogenes, and Streptococcus pneumoniae revealing that the effectiveness of immune defense depends not only

A Monte Carlo Method for Modeling Thermal Damping: Beyond the Brownian-Motion Master Equation

open access: yes, 2009
The "standard" Brownian motion master equation, used to describe thermal damping, is not completely positive, and does not admit a Monte Carlo method, important in numerical simulations. To eliminate both these problems one must add a term that generates

Renormalization of gauge theories and master equation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The evolution of ideas which has led from the first proofs of the renormalizability of non-abelian gauge theories, based on Slavnov--Taylor identities, to the modern proof based on the BRS symmetry and the master equation is recalled.

Sufficient conditions for a memory-kernel master equation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We derive sufficient conditions for the memory kernel which guarantee legitimate (completely positive and trace-preserving) dynamical map. It turns out that these conditions provide a natural parameterizations of the dynamical map being a generalization ...
