Distribution of the Mastodonts in Slovenia

In Slovenia, there are some mastodon finds that belong to the extinct representatives of proboscidea. They were discovered in Miocene, Pliocene and Pleistocene sediments in the middle of 19th century. The remains were classified into the bunodont and zygodont development stage.
