Cycloastragenol Derivatives Improve Tyrosine Metabolism, Regulate TLR4/NF‐κB/TERT Signaling Pathways, and Inhibit MPTP Induced Neuroinflammation and PD Symptoms

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 2, February 2026.
Cycloastragenol derivatives regulate the TLR4/NF‐κB/TERT signaling pathway and tyrosine metabolism, breaking the vicious cycle of “inflammation‐aging” and improving symptoms of Parkinson's disease. This study provides direction for the application of natural products in the development of PD drugs.

Multiple Glacial Refugia and Complex Postglacial Dynamics of Primula sikkimensis (Primuaceae) in the Heterogeneous Qinghai‐Tibet Plateau

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 2, February 2026.
Primula sikkimensis persisted in distinct glacial refugia within the Hengduan Mountains and eastern Himalayas during the Last Glacial Maximum. Subsequent postglacial range expansions onto the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau were accompanied by secondary contact and interspecific hybridization, collectively enhancing genetic diversity and adaptive capacity. These

Artemisia selengensis Leaves, a Vegetable Waste: LC‐MS‐Based Chemical Profiling, Ultrasound‐Assisted DES Extraction, and Xanthine Oxidase Inhibitory Activity

open access: yeseFood, Volume 7, Issue 1, February 2026.
This study focused on Artemisia selengensis leaves (ASL), a discarded agricultural waste. 72 compounds were identified by UPLC‐Q‐TOF‐MS. “Green” extraction with DES was optimized, and ASL's XO—inhibition was explored, presenting new ways for waste utilization. ABSTRACT Artemisia selengensis is a medicinal and edible plant, whose tender stems are widely

Structural Characterization and Antioxidant Activity of Polysaccharides From Indigo Naturalis Ophiopogon japonicus: Effects of Processing and Extraction Methods

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 2, February 2026.
Indigo naturalis processing significantly increased polysaccharide and uronic acid content, altered monosaccharide composition, and introduced high‐molecular‐weight fractions. Structural changes enhanced DPPH and superoxide anion scavenging activities, especially in reflux‐extracted processed samples (W‐IP, IC50 = 3.19 mg/mL).

Research Landscape and Emerging Trends in Herbal Medicine for Pediatric Respiratory Tract Infections: A CiteSpace‐Based Bibliometric Analysis

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Respiratory tract infections (RTIs) are a common concern in pediatric healthcare. Although extensive literature exists on the use of herbal medicine for pediatric RTIs, no bibliometric analysis has been conducted to date. This study aims to employ bibliometric methods to evaluate the current research landscape in this field
