Hydrological Processes, Volume 40, Issue 6, June 2026.This study deals with limitations of frequency domain reflectometry sensors, including data drift, when monitoring clayey soils with pedogenic carbonates. Despite these inaccuracies, the results demonstrate that corrected measurements of soil water content can still successfully calibrate hydrological models.
