A chi-squared time-frequency discriminator for gravitational wave detection
Searches for known waveforms in gravitational wave detector data are often done using matched filtering. When used on real instrumental data, matched filtering often does not perform as well as might be expected, because non-stationary and non-Gaussian ...

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

An efficient Matched Filtering Algorithm for the Detection of Continuous Gravitational Wave Signals [PDF]
We describe an efficient method of matched filtering over long (greater than 1 day) time baselines starting from Fourier transforms of short durations (roughly 30 minutes) of the data stream.

An approach of generating and matched filtering of modulated radar signals using the FPGA [PDF]
The process of generating and matched filtering of three types of modulated radar signals in baseband, using the FPGA Zedboard, is described in this paper. Binary phase sequence, linear frequency modulated (LFM) sequence and Costas sequence was generated

We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.
