Matching Matchings

2013 3rd Eastern European Regional Conference on the Engineering of Computer Based Systems, 2013
This paper presents the first steps toward a graph comparison method based on matching matchings, or in other words, comparison of independent edge sets in graphs. The novelty of our approach is to use matchings for calculating distance of graphs in case of edge-colored graphs.

Coalitional Matchings [PDF]

open access: possibleSSRN Electronic Journal, 2008
A coalitional matching is a two-sided matching problem in which agents on each side of the market may form coalitions such as student groups and research teams who - when matched - form universities. We assume that each researcher has preferences over the research teams he would like to work in and over the student groups he would like to teach to ...

MULTIPERIOD MATCHING

International Economic Review, 2018
AbstractWe examine a dynamic, two‐sided, one‐to‐one matching market where agents on both sides interact over a period of time. We define and identify sufficient conditions for the existence of a dynamically stable matching, which may require revisions to initial assignments. A generalization of the deferred acceptance algorithm can identify dynamically

Matching auctions

The RAND Journal of Economics, 2022
AbstractWe study platform markets in which agents arrive gradually, experience changes to their preferences over time, and are frequently re‐matched. We introduce simple auctions specifically designed for such markets. Upon joining, agents select a status that determines the weight assigned to their future bids. Each match is then assigned a score that

Color Matching and Color-Difference Matching

Journal of the Optical Society of America, 1972
The precision of color matching is commonly described by color-matching ellipses, and the precision of matching color differences can be described by color-difference-matching ellipses. Recently obtained sets of color-matching ellipses and color-difference-matching ellipses have been compared and some important correlations are indicated.

Match effects [PDF]

open access: possibleResearch in Economics, 2008
We present an empirical model of earnings that controls for observable and unobservable characteristics of workers (person effects), unmeasured characteristics of their employers (firm effects), and unmeasured characteristics of worker-firm matches (match effects). We interpret these as the returns to general human capital, firm-specific human capital,
